Considered one of the top dirt late model drivers in the country today, Earl Pearson Jr.'s resume is full of accomplishments. Beginning with go-karting championships and track championships in open wheel modifieds in stock car racing.
In 1993, his first year in dirt late model racing, Earl won an amazing 11 out of 22 feature events in North Florida and South Georgia. Because of his tremendous success, he was hired by several dirt late model team owners in the mid 1990's. In 1996 he won his first "National" Touring Series event - the Hav-A-Tampa sanctioned event at Waycross, GA. After his first full year on the national tour, he won the 1997 Hav-A-Tampa "Rookie of the Year" award while finishing 10th in the final series points standings.
In 2004, the country took notice of Earl's talents as he racked up 11 wins and an amazing top 5 finishing percentage of 74%, enabling him to win his first National Championship the 2004 Stacker2 Xtreme DirtCar Series Championship. He followed that up by winning the 2005 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Championship. And in 2006, he won the 2006 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series National Championship, his third National Championship in a row.
Earls biggest win of his career came in 2006 when he won the prestigous "WORLD 100" at the famous Eldora Speedway in New Weston, Ohio. Earl's World 100 win was one of the most exciting races in the history of the event. Earl was the first driver from the state of Florida to win the event.
For 2007 Earl has teamed up with Bobby Labonte to drive for his new dirt late model team. Earl Pearson Jr. and Bobby Labonte Racing will attempt to win his 4th National Championship competing on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
